Why I Built GovHub After 20 Years in the Arena

I watched brilliant people drown in broken tools for two decades. GovHub exists so the best people can do their best work.

Why I Built GovHub

I've spent 20 years inside government contracting. Not as a technologist looking in from the outside. As a BD executive, capture manager, and proposal leader who lived inside the machine.

I've led capture on programs worth hundreds of millions. I've written proposals totaling over $5.2 billion. I've sat in gate reviews, war rooms, and color teams at companies ranging from $50M to multi-billion dollar primes.

And at every single one, I watched the same pattern repeat.

The Pattern

Brilliant people — people who deeply understood their agencies, their customers, their technical domains — drowning in broken tools. Spending 80% of their time on research that should take minutes. Manually tracking pipelines in spreadsheets. Copy-pasting between 8 different systems that don't talk to each other.

The tools weren't built by people who understood the work. They were built by technologists who studied the work from the outside, built what they thought the industry needed, and then wondered why adoption was so painful.

The Breaking Point

After nine years as an independent consultant, I'd seen the same problems at enough companies to know this wasn't a training issue or a people issue. It was a tools issue. The industry's software was built wrong because it was built by the wrong people.

So I built GovHub. Not as a technology company that learned GovCon. As a GovCon company that leverages technology.

What Makes This Different

Every workflow in GovHub comes from inside gate reviews and war rooms. Every scoring model reflects how evaluators actually think. Every automation encodes the tradecraft that wins — the stuff you can't learn from a textbook or a customer advisory board.

Domain expertise is what we deliver. Technology is how we deliver it.

That's the difference. And it's the one thing our competitors can never replicate.
