- Architect and build GovHub's MVP from the ground up — React/Next.js frontend, Python/Node backend, PostgreSQL on AWS
- Design and implement the data pipeline ingesting 50+ federal data sources (SAM.gov, USAspending, FPDS, Federal Register)
- Build AI-powered features using Claude API — opportunity scoring, proposal generation, competitive intelligence
- Own the full development lifecycle: architecture decisions, code, testing, deployment, monitoring
- Work directly with the CEO (20+ year GovCon veteran) to translate deep domain expertise into product features
- Establish engineering culture, processes, and standards as the founding technical team member
- 5+ years full-stack development (React/TypeScript + Python or Node.js)
- Strong experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, EventBridge, Step Functions)
- Experience building data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and serve large datasets
- Comfort with ambiguity — you'll make architectural decisions, not just execute specs
- Experience with LLM/AI integration (Claude, GPT, or similar) is a strong plus
- Government contracting domain knowledge is a plus but not required — you'll learn fast
- Experience with federal data systems (SAM.gov APIs, USAspending, FPDS)
- Active security clearance (TS/SCI)
- Prior startup or founding engineer experience
- Experience with agentic AI architectures and multi-agent systems
- $155,000 – $165,000 base salary
- 0.75% – 1.0% equity (pre-seed stage — ground floor)
- Remote-first with occasional travel to Northern Virginia
